ROUTER FENCE
With some jobs – mortising with a hand-held router, for example – it is a great advantage to have two fences working, with one each side of the router. It is not necessary to buy a second fence as a suitable one can be made very easily. The only essential requirements are that the holes should fit over the fence rods and the horizontal part is low enough to slide under the router base. The false fence can be fastened by making saw cuts to the holes and using self-tap screws.
