A two flute cutter set to produce moulded and scribed joints. The set is available in 4 different profiles and each set comprises the following four items: arbor, bearing, groover and reversible profile cutter. The components may be arranged on the arbor in two different ways to produce both the profile and scribing cuts. When arranged as a profile cutter it will mould both rails and stiles of door frames and, at the same time, cut a 6mm groove for the panel. When assembled with the alternative arrangement, the cutter will scribe the rail ends to produce an accurate mating joint.
Spare parts should be selected from this table and then ordered from the Bearings and Spares section of the catalogue.
CONSTRUCTION
This method of construction produces a long glue line, giving a strong yet rapid method of constructing doors/panelling etc. The timber should be between 18mm and 23mm in thickness. This cutter is suitable for use in machines having a power output of 750 watts or more and is available in 8mm, 3/8" and 1/2" shank sizes only.
SHANK LENGTH
With some combinations of routing machine and table a longer shank length can be necessary. If required an extended arbor can be ordered for this range of cutters increasing the "D" dimension to 58mm. This is only available in 1/2" shank and the part number is T4207.
